Guernsey Adult Literacy Project has received a £105,000 grant from the Social Investment Fund, with support from Channel Islands Lottery funding. GALP is a charity which provides adults in Guernsey with opportunities to develop their literacy skills, including financial literacy. This in turn helps to improve clients’ self-esteem, seek employment or achieve promotions in current roles and deal with day-to-day life admin. This 2-year grant is being used to support the salaries of 2 part-time teachers for 3 years.
