St John Ambulance Jersey

A grant of £30,000 was distributed to this vital community charity and was used to help towards the recruitment of a new staff member.

St. John Ambulance, which is Jersey’s oldest first aid provider, has a fleet of four ambulances and two support vehicles. The charity attends approximately 167 events a year, and treats approximately 330 casualties and performs over 5,100 hours of voluntary duty every year. Every year, some 7000 people receive some form of first aid training from the charity which represents 7% of the population of Jersey. In total all of their members provide over 23,500 hours of voluntary service every year.

The £30,000 grant will go towards the position of a new fundraising and communications manager.
