Children’s charities, youth organisations and community projects across the Bailiwick of Guernsey have received more than £370,000 of funding in 2025 from the Social Investment Fund Guernsey (SIF), supported by Channel Islands (CI) Lottery funding.
A total of £373,295 has been awarded through the Social Investment Fund (SIF) to projects supporting young people, children and families across Guernsey and Alderney. The funding forms part of the proceeds generated through Channel Islands Lottery ticket sales, which are reinvested into charitable projects and community causes across the Islands.
The grants support a wide range of initiatives, from youth activities and sports participation to educational opportunities, accessibility projects and early years provision.
Among the largest awards this year were:
• The Village @ Le Murier: £100,000 towards the construction of the cabins and associated groundworks, where young people with additional needs can develop their independent living skills.
• Guernsey Sports Commission: £103,102 to continue funding its On Your Marks holiday programme over three years, supporting children and young people to become more physically active.
• The Lihou Charity: £52,500 towards the continuation of its manager role, helping to provide affordable residential experiences, away from home, primarily for school and youth groups.
• Bailiwick Scout Association: £25,500 towards the re-wiring of Rue Mainguy hostel and associated buildings, improving facilities used by generations of young Islanders.
Other projects receiving support include:
• St Anne’s Preschool Playgroup, Alderney: £16,038 towards building improvements to enable the pre-school to care for babies and £9,800 towards its summer school programme.
• Little Buttons Pre-School: £15,000 towards rental costs.
• Guernsey Sports Commission in partnership with UP Climbing: £10,000 towards a Community Climbing Project offering free sessions for young children and individuals with SEND.
• Guernsey Sailing Trust: £7,500 towards a year of Sailability programme costs.
• Guernsey Rugby Academy: £7,000 towards facilities used for weekly training sessions.
• Royal Guernsey Light Infantry Charitable Trust: £7,000 to support some students attending an educational exchange trip to Les Masnières.
• Alderney Football Association: £6,975 towards coach training and safeguarding courses
• Guernsey Football Club: £5,000 to support welfare, safeguarding and development within the women’s and girls’ football pathway.
• Rock Community Church: £3,480 towards RockTots sessions and equipment.
• Guernsey Sports Commission in partnership with Sarnia Legacy: £2,400 towards hall rental costs.
• Guernsey Sylvans Sports Club: £2,000 towards new goals and netting for its minis section.
The Social Investment Fund supports charities and community groups delivering meaningful social impact with funding generated in part through the proceeds of Channel Islands Lottery ticket sales.

The CI Lottery works closely with Jersey Community Foundation, the Association of Jersey Charities and the Social Investment Fund to distribute lottery funding to charitable organisations and projects across the Channel Islands.
