The winning tickets are verified by scratching the bar code area on the front of the ticket and scanning them to ensure they are a genuine winner.
When a customer presents a winning ticket to the cashier at either, for prizes below £100 or at the discretion of the reseller, or for prizes over £100 at Guernsey Post, Envoy House, St Peter Port the customer server will issue the prize and remove the void number. The ticket is then retained by the reseller and stored in a secure place.
When a customer presents a winning ticket to the cashier at either, for prizes below £10 or at the discretion of the reseller, or for prizes over £10 to be paid at the Treasurer of the Government of Jersey, Treasury and Exchequer, Union Street St Helier JE2 3DN.
You are responsible for keeping Your Scratchcard safe and in good condition.
The Scratchcard must always be presented when claiming a Prize – if You don’t present the Scratchcard, the Prize cannot be paid. You are also responsible for claiming (and checking You receive) the full amount of any Prize You are entitled to.
2.3 Neither the operator, distributer or reseller will be responsible for:
(a) loss, theft, mutilation, destruction or degradation of, or damage to, any Scratchcard; or
(b) any mistakes or omissions in respect of data recorded or not recorded on any Scratchcard; or
(c) any loss of whatever nature suffered or incurred by any person as a result of any of the above affecting the Scratchcard.
Only one Player can be the owner of a Scratchcard. If a name and address is written on the back of the Scratchcard, for the purposes of these Rules, the owner of the Scratchcard will be the person whose name and address is stated; and
If no name and address is written on the back of a Scratchcard (and until the time that there is) the owner of that Scratchcard will be the person who holds the Scratchcard.
Prizes must be claimed no later than twelve months after the date of issue as announced by LOT number by notice via the cilottery.org CLAIM A PRIZE page. The void if removed panel must not be removed prior to the payment of the prize.
