The operators of the Channel Islands Lottery are keen to find out islanders’ views ahead of the next big Christmas draw.
A survey has been launched across both Bailiwicks via www.cilottery.org to gain public feedback before deciding on the format of this December’s bumper charity draw.
Jon Taylor, Head of Lottery, said that while sales have been buoyant in the last couple of years, the States of Guernsey and Government of Jersey are keen to find out how the communities would like to see the Christmas game evolve in the future.
In 2025 there was an extensive pool of both instant and drawn prizes together with a final jackpot prize of £493K, an increase of over £10k on 2024’s first prize.
Mr Taylor said the big winners of the Channel Island Lottery games throughout the year are local charities and good causes.
“The proceeds from all instant game ticket sales throughout the year are distributed to good causes and the lottery has raised millions over the last few years. The Christmas game is an important part of this and we want to ensure it remains so for years to come, so keeping it relevant and attractive to islanders is paramount.”
The survey is part of a broad review that will also involve feedback from the charitable sector, distributers and resellers.
